# Posted: 7 Mar 2008 13:36 Reply  It seems remarkable to me that old people who have long been considered too old to work full-time are still expected to be 24/7 carers for their partners. There is no medical assessment of their own capacity to cope with such a situation, nor of their ability to actually give the care that their caree needs. This is unfair to both partners. Let's campaign for a change.
