We have a care package in place for my dad of 13 hours per week. However the agency supplying his care have sent us a letter informing us their charge is increasing.
From September the money supplied from Social services will only cover 10 hours under the increased charges and no extra money can be given.

Surely if he is assessed as NEEDING 13 hours per week that money allocated within local council should cover this??

Is there anything in small print or contracts to say otherwise?
You would think that the prices would be linked for the term of the contract, or is that too easy. Or if if any increases in services would allow for review. I am sure you are not the only one in this situation.
I would definetly look into this further if i were you

Thank you for replying Joe.
We have looked in to it but soc services were adamant no fault lies with them that not enough funds. They say it is our responsiblity to find a price that fits dads needs. The agency we use is one of the cheapest round here so we have no more room left to move.
