I need my DLA to survive on a daily basis. It covers the extra heating I need. Due to incontinence I have much washing but unable to do it myself so use laundry service.

I am registered blind and like all 'blindies' have been left far behind by local authorities and the NHS. if you are very lucky you might get a hand held magnifier or some 'bump ons' which don't stck to anything! Assistive technology is there to help us read, write, and communicate. A basic human right which sighted people take for granted. There is no funding for this and we have to put our hands deep into our pockets or go begging to charities. I saved my DLA care to buy a talking computer and she has transformed my life. Who are these people who tell us we can be independent and then do nothing to help?
